On Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 8:00 PM the LAJS teamed-up with the stellar orchestra and choir from the Los Angeles Korean-American Musicians' Association to present Friendship & Harmony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
This performance was in celebration of our shared humanity and the strength of community. The evening included the West Coast Premiere of Grammy Award-winning conductor/composer Lucas Richman's latest piece Symphony: This Will Be Our Reply, and the US Premiere of Byunghee Oh's 한국의 혼 (The Spirit of Korea).

In keeping with the evening's theme, Friendship and Harmony concluded with the choral ending of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, with soloists Diana Tash and Ron Li-Paz performing alongside soloists from the Korean community.
The words of "Ode to Joy" fully encapsulated the concert's chief refrain:
"Let us sing more cheerful songs / More songs full of joy! / All that custom has divided / All men become brothers."
