Now in our 14th season, the LAJS is proud to continue its
flagship mission to the community. Both in concert as
well as through our award winning school-based music
education curricula, the LAJS has achieved a reputation for
distinctive performances and programming. The Symphony is
proud of the acclaimed audience recognition we have received
locally and internationally, as well as the support of
prestigious funding organizations that have allowed the
Symphony to further music appreciation amongst our school
children. Our mission also include offering opportunities to
upcoming musicians and composers eager to promote their
talents in a uniquely Jewish setting.
And as a nation, our credo enjoins us to listen—Shema!
To listen to
the sounds of the timbrel that proclaim the beat of a faith
that will not be stilled. And to listen to the sounds of the
horn that beckons us to rise up and repair the world to its
perfection. Indeed, these are the instruments of our
heritage.
On behalf of Ms. Janet Schulman, Chair of the Board, our
Board Members and the generosity of all our sponsors, we
thank you for your support.
